Chris Collins is a Fellow with the Polycrisis Program at the Cascade Institute. His research focuses on how political, economic, technological, and demographic trends shape global systems. A particular focus of his work is the relationships between geopolitics, political change, economics, and financial markets.

Before joining the Cascade Institute, Chris worked on Global Investment Strategy at Ontario Teachers Pension Plan, one of the world's largest institutional investors. Prior to this, he held roles in strategy at Sun Life Financial, the Bank of Montreal and McKinsey & Company. Chris also spent five years working in the field of global health, leading projects focused on improving access to HIV medication and pediatric vaccines in developing countries.

Chris holds an MA and BA from the University of Toronto. His university research focused on issues related to international relations, politics, and conflict in the post-Soviet space. For his master’s thesis, supervised by Professor Margaret MacMillan, Chris wrote about the Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan.
